Information Ecommerce - analysis of the most important data for your e-commerce

Overview​

  • Total revenue - the total sum of all orders received.
  • Average revenue per user - the total sum of all orders received divided by total number of unique visitors to the entire site.
  • Orders - total number of orders received. Event purchase.
  • Average revenue per order - total revenue / number of orders.
  • Products purchased - total number of products purchased.
  • Average products purchased per order - number of products purchased / number of orders.
  • Average purchase duration - calculated from when the user entered the site, i.e. started the session, until the user completed the purchase (performed the event purchase) / per number of orders received
  • Unique visitors who performed an event - unique visitors who performed at least ecommerce event.
  • Unique visitors who purchased - unique visitors who performed the purchase event.
  • Product views - total number of view_item event.
  • Abandoned products in the cart - these are all products added to the cart that were either not purchased or were removed from the cart.
  • Rate of abandoned products in the cart - total number of products added to the cart (including all products that were purchased and excluding those that were removed from the cart) / per products remaining in the cart.

Below the Overview is the Store Information section where various tabs show the details of individual products within the e-commerce:

Products​

See all the products for sale on the site. If, for example, it was a clothing ecommerce here you would see every single t-shirt, pair of shoes, jacket etc in the store.

In this section there is the ability to change the view by choosing between SKU (1) and title and use search by sku and title.

(1) SKU (short for Stock Keeping Unit) is a unique sequence of alphanumeric characters that companies use internally to identify and track their products within the warehouse.

  • Visitors - number of unique visitors who viewed the product.
  • Total - total number of unique visitors who viewed all products.

  • Views - number of views per individual product.
  • Total - total number of views of all products.

  • Products purchased - number of times the product was purchased.
  • Total - total number of all products purchased.

  • Quantity purchased - the quantity purchased per individual product.
  • Total - total number of quantity purchased of all products.

  • Products present in the cart - number of products that remained in the cart.
  • Total - total number of all products in the cart .

  • Quantity present in the cart - the amount of products that remained in the cart.
  • Total - total number of quantity of all products present in the cart .

  • Rate - purchase to view - the number of unique visitors who completed a purchase of a product / per number of unique visitors who viewed a product
  • Total - the number of unique visitors who completed a purchase / per number of unique visitors who viewed all products

  • Rate - cart to view - the number of unique visitors who added a product to the cart / per number of unique visitors who viewed a product
  • Total - the number of unique visitors who have added to cart / per number of unique visitors who have viewed all products

Categories​

These are the various categories into which ecommerce is divided; continuing with the example of a clothing store you might have Parent Categories: Men's, Women's, Children's; and Child Categories Clothes, Pants, Shirts etc.

  • Visitors - number of unique visitors who viewed all products in a category.
  • Total - total number of unique visitors who viewed all categories.

  • Views - number of views of all products in a category.
  • Total - total number of views of all products in all categories.

  • Products purchased - number of times the product was purchased.
  • Total - total number of all products purchased.

  • Quantity purchased - the quantity purchased.
  • Total - total number of quantity purchased of all products.

  • Products present in the cart - number of products in the cart by individual category.
  • Total - total number of all products in the cart.

  • Quantity present in the cart -number of quantities of products present in cart.
  • Total -Total number of quantities of all products in the cart .

  • Rate - purchase to view - the number of unique visitors who completed a purchase of a product / per number of unique visitors who viewed a product
  • Total - the number of unique visitors who completed a purchase / per number of unique visitors who viewed all products

  • Rate - cart to view - the number of unique visitors who added a product to the cart / per number of unique visitors who viewed a product
  • Total - the number of unique visitors who have added to cart / per number of unique visitors who have viewed all products

If your products are from different brands, here is the sales information for the individual brands

  • Visitors - number of unique visitors who viewed the product.

  • Total - total number of all products purchased.

  • Visitors - number of unique visitors who viewed the wishlist.
  • Total - total number of unique visitors who viewed all products.

  • Views - number of product views.
  • Total - total number of views of all products.

  • Products purchased - number of times the product was purchased.
  • Total - total number of all products purchased.

  • Quantity purchased - the quantity purchased.
  • Total - total number of quantity purchased of all products.

Coupon​

  • Used - number of times a coupon was used.
  • Total - total number of all coupons used.

Payment Type.​

In this section you see how the means of payment you have made available on the site are used.

  • Visitors - number of visitors who have made a certain type of payment.
  • Total - total number of unique visitors who viewed all products.

  • Orders - number of orders placed with a certain type of payment.
  • Total - total number of orders of all payment types

Product abandoned in the shopping cart.​

Abandoned products in the cart, as the name implies, are items that a user has added to his or her cart without completing the purchase.

This can happen for a number of reasons that it is important to analyze so that the most appropriate strategies can be put in place to convince people to complete their purchase.

  • Product Name = here you can view abandoned products by Name or by SKU.

  • Visitors - number of unique visitors who viewed the product.
  • Total - total number of unique visitors who viewed all products.

  • Views - number of product views.
  • Total - total number of views of all products.

  • Quantity in the cart - number of products in the cart.
  • Total - total number of all products in the cart.

Events​

In this tab you find the Custom Events and Ecommerce Events that you have configured specifically for e-commerce (e.g. Checkout, Cart Abandonment etc).

Custom Events​

  • Event - the name of the event.
  • Visitors - number of unique visitors that ran the event.
  • Total - total number of unique visitors who performed all events.

  • Views - number of product views that ran an event.
  • Total - total number of views of all products.

  • Products purchased - number of times the product was purchased.
  • Total - total number of all products purchased.

  • Quantity purchased - the quantity purchased per individual product.
  • Total - total number of quantity purchased of all products.

  • Products present in the cart - number of products that remained in the cart.
  • Total - total number of all products in the cart .

  • Quantity present in the cart - the amount of products that remained in the cart.
  • Total - Total number of quantity of all products present in the cart .

  • Rate - purchase to view - the number of unique visitors who completed a purchase of a product / per number of unique visitors who viewed a product
  • Total - the number of unique visitors who completed a purchase / per number of unique visitors who viewed all products

  • Rate - cart to view - the number of unique visitors who added a product to the cart / per number of unique visitors who viewed a product
  • Total - the number of unique visitors who have added to cart / per number of unique visitors who have viewed all products

Ecommerce Events​

  • Event - the name of the event

  • Used - numbers of times the event was called.
  • Total - total umber of all events used.

Referrals​

The Referrals section contains details on all traffic sources that link back to your site. It updates based on the information you are viewing in the Store Information section and is divided into 6 tabs:

  1. All - list of all sites that have a link to your site.
  2. Source - detail of source of traffic coming to your website (Google, Facebook Ads, Linkedin Ads, newsletters, etc.)
  3. Medium - marketing medium used to create the campaign, such as email, post, pop-up banner, video etc.
  4. Campaign - name you assigned that identifies the marketing campaign you want to monitor
  5. Content - identifies what content sent the traffic.
  6. Term - indicates the keyword that led the user to click on the ad.

For each of the 6 tabs, the following data are given:

  • Visitors - number of unique visitors who viewed the product.
  • Views - number of views of the product.
  • Products purchased - number of times the product was purchased.
  • Quantity purchased - the quantity purchased of each product.
  • Products present in the cart - number of products in the cart.
  • Quantity in the cart - Total number of quantities of all products in the cart.
  • Rate - purchase to view - the number of unique visitors who completed a purchase of a product / per number of unique visitors who viewed a product
  • Rate - cart to view - the number of unique visitors who added a product to the cart / per number of unique visitors who viewed a product

Position​

The Position metric illustrates the geographic origin of your visitors and is divided into 5 tabs.

The Map tab graphically shows all countries around the globe. If you click on a single country, a country-related filter will be applied in your Dashboard and will be active for all metrics. You can also use the Countries, Regions, Cities and Language tabs. . For example, if you click on "Cities" you will see a list of the major cities from which your visitors come. If you click on "details" at the bottom of the tab, you can see the full list of cities. On the "Languages" tab you will find the list of major languages spoken by your visitors. By clicking on "details" at the bottom of the tab, you can see the full list.

For each of the 4 tabs you will find the following data:

  • Visitors - number of unique visitors who viewed the product.
  • Views - number of views of the product.
  • Products purchased - number of times the product was purchased.
  • Quantity purchased - the quantity purchased of each product.
  • Products present in the cart - number of products in the cart.
  • Quantity in the cart - Total number of quantities of all products in the cart.
  • Rate - purchase to view - the number of unique visitors who completed a purchase of a product / per number of unique visitors who viewed a product
  • Rate - cart to view - the number of unique visitors who added a product to the cart / per number of unique visitors who viewed a product

Devices​

This section contains information about the type of device used (whether desktop or mobile), browser, operating system, and screen size used by visitors

  • Device: the types of devices that Vantevo analyzes are 4: 1) desktop 2) mobile 3) tablet 4) unknown = this is a device that could not be classified as one of the previous three
  • Browser: the name of the software that provides access to the Internet through a search engine, i.e., a specific user interface, example Chrome, Edge, Safari, Opera, Firefox, etc.
  • OS: Operating System, indicates the operating system used by your users, whether desktop or mobile. E.g. IOS, Android, Windows, Linux etc.
  • Screen Size: the screen size that your users use. To figure out the exact size, check our table with the screen size

For each of the 4 tabs you will find the following data:
