In this section you need to verify your domain, to show that you are actually the manager of it.

Verify domain ownership​

You have two options to verify that you are the real owner of the domain:

DNS configuration​

Vantevo Analytics issues you a code to be included in the DNS configuration of your domain. Read the instructions below:

  1. Log in to your domain name provider (for example, godaddy.com or ovh.com)

  2. Copy the TXT record below in the DNS configuration for app.example.com

Upload a txt file to your website​

You need to download a txt file and upload it to your website. Make sure Vantevo Analytics can reach the link and verify the file.

Restore Stats​

IMPORTANT

The following destructive actions may result in irreversible data loss. Be careful!

The Restore Stats button removes all statistics but maintains the website configuration. When you click on the button, a pop-up opens asking you if you are sure you want to restore the website’s statistics. If yes, enter the domain name and proceed.

Delete domain​

The Delete Domain button removes all page views along with the website configuration. When you click on the button, a pop-up pops up asking you if you’re sure you want to delete the website’s domain. If yes, enter the domain and proceed.

Transfer the domain ownership​

With this feature you transfer ownership of the domain to another user. Enter the email of the new owner. The person to whom you want to transfer ownership will receive an e-mail asking them to accept the transfer request.

If the new owner accepts the request, they will become responsible for billing. If the new owner does not respond within 48 hours, the request will automatically expire.

You will also receive two emails, one email when the transfer request is made and another confirmation email when the new owner has accepted the transfer request.
